Description:

The design of these summer houses was based on the intense geomorphology of the area, its orientation, view and emergence through an environmentally friendly intervention. The slope of the plot is quite steep, leading to a demanding architectural involvement, but also ensuring an uninterrupted view of each building. On the plot there is a large number of olive trees, an element that we respected keeping it and highlighting it.

Autonomy and privacy arise through the intense inclination and organization of the three-storey dwellings. Plantings and green spaces were made in such a way as to create a sense of flow on the sloping ground without the view of a strict artificial scaling. This element, combined with the unique location of the hilltop settlement, results in an absolute integration in the natural landscape, overlooking the magnificent pine tree – covered coastline and the mountain of Mount Olympus.

Location:

The residential complex is located in Possidi – at Chalkidiki’s first peninsula- an area that is divided into three different beaches. The largest in length and width is that of the Aegean, which extends to the right side of the cape. The second one is on the left side of the cape, and the third less known, the “Miti” (Nose), is in front of the Cape Lighthouse. The distance from the houses is three minutes by car and for those who wish to reach them on foot, the sea is only a five-minute walk away. The residential complex is an hour’s drive from Thessaloniki’s Airport.

Characteristics:

The country house consists of three levels. On the ground floor there is a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Each maisonette has access to the private garden (with the possibility of a private swimming pool) and to the 6.000 sq.m. of the total communal green space via the level of the ground floor. The main entrance is on the first floor, accessible from the back of the house. At this level, there are two bedrooms, a storage area and a spacious bathroom. Both bedrooms have access to the balcony with great views of both the sea and the forest. On the second and top floor there is a master bedroom with a private bathroom, a kitchenette and a mini bar in order to be as independent as possible, with a private balcony. The view from the second floor, especially during the night is even more special when the old lighthouse is illuminated and offers a unique view of the cape.
