Description:
The project concerns an apartment in a building constructed in the 1960s in the area of the Leoforos Stratou. The apartment has a living area of 89 sq.m. and consists of a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and storage room. The design emphasized in the clean lines combined with the functionality of the spaces. The owner’s requirements led to several changes in the layout, moving the kitchen to the bedroom area. The kitchen area with the living room was unified and a dividing table was created as an extension of the kitchen furniture. New electrical and plumbing installations and a natural gas heating system were built. White marble tiles have been used for the floors, which give the space a sense of purity, minimalism and they match perfectly with the oak parquets, which were kept due to their special style (fish-bone) in matte texture. The windows were replaced by composite double-glazed windows.
